PSL 2023 League Stage Review

The league phase of season 8 of the Pakistan Super League has concluded. Each team has played 10 matches till this stage. Lahore Qalandars topped the table with 7 wins and 14 points. Islamabad United and Multan Sultans got 12 points each. The latter team got the 2nd position due to a better run rate.

Peshawar Zalmi is the 4th team to qualify with 10 points. The two teams eliminated from the competition were Quetta Gladiators and Karachi Kings. Both of them could only win 3 out of 10 games and earned 6 points each. Mohammed Rizwan is so far the top run scorer, while Abbas Afridi is the highest wicket-taker of the tournament.

As the league stage has ended, we are geared up for the playoffs. The two top teams, Lahore Qalandars and Multan Sultans, will lock horns in the first qualifier on the 15th of March. Islamabad United and Peshawar Zalmi will be up against each other on March 16 in the eliminator. Qualifier 2 will be contested on the 17th of March, and the final is scheduled on Sunday, March 19.
