Match 28: Delhi Capitals vs. Kolkata Knight Riders
Delhi Capitals 128 for 6 (Warner 57(↑34.88%), Axar 19 & 2/13(↑17.05%)) beat Kolkata Knight Riders 127 all out (Roy 43, Chakravarthy 2/16(↑26.69%)) by 4 wickets.
Delhi won the toss and asked Kolkata to bat first. Their bowlers took the opportunity with both hands and took 3 wickets inside the powerplay. Jason Roy was showing great composure, but wickets kept tumbling at the other end. Roy also fell for 43(39), and Delhi were 96 for 9 in the 16th over. Andre Russell(↑20.64%) took the innings deep, but the score was just 108 after 19 overs. He smashed 3 sixes in the last over to take the score to 127. Russell hit 38* off 31 while Nortje, Ishant, Axar, and Kuldeep took 2 wickets each.
The chase started with an opening partnership of 38 runs before Prithvi Shaw was dismissed for 13. Mitchell Marsh and Phil Salt got out after scoring just 2 and 5, respectively. David Warner(↑34.88%) was unfazed by the happenings at the other end as he brought up a brilliant half-century. When he departed for 57(41), the equation was 35 off 41.
