England’s domestic T20 competition T20 Blast is one of the most popular leagues around the world. England’s lot of highly-talented white-ball cricketers make it a fascinating competition. The league also includes some top T20 players from around the world. The 2023 edition of the tournament is around the corner. But when does it start and when is the final of the competition scheduled? What are the match timings and key dates?

T20 Blast 2023 Start Date
The upcoming edition of the league will kickstart on Saturday, 20th of May. The match will begin at 7:00 PM as per the Indian Standard Time. Derbyshire and Lancashire will face each other in the opener. The venue for this game will be Edgbaston, Birmingham.
T20 Blast 2023 Finals Day
The finals day in T20 Blast consists of the two semi-finals and the final. These 3 matches are played on the same day. The finals day of this year’s T20 Blast is scheduled for Saturday, 15th of July. The first semi-final will start at 3:30 PM IST, while the second semi-final will be played from 7:00 PM IST. The final of the tournament will begin at 11:15 PM IST. Like the league’s opener, the finals day will also be contested at Edgbaston, Birmingham.
T20 Blast 2023 Key Dates
The competition will start on the 20th of May and will conclude on July 15. The group stages will finish on 2nd July with a match between Derbyshire and Worcestershire. The quarter-finals will be played on the 6th and 7th July. Lastly, the finals day is scheduled for 15th July.
T20 Blast 2023 Knockouts
Unlike the other cricket leagues, T20 Blast follows the traditional format of league stages, quarter-finals, semi-finals, and then final. The knockout stages will start on July 6 and end on the 15th of July. The quarter-finals will be contested on 6 and 7 July, while the two semi-finals and final will be played on 15 July.
What are the Match Timings in T20 Blast 2023?
In contrast to the other leagues, there are not just one or two specific times for starting the match. As per the Indian Standard Time, most of the night matches will begin at 11:00 PM. But some of them will start at 11:30, 10:30, and 10:00 PM. Then, the majority of day games are scheduled at 7:00 PM IST, and the morning matches will start at 3:30, 4:00, and 5:15 PM IST.
How Many Matches in T20 Blast 2023?
The domestic T20 competition in England will have 126 league games and 7 knockout matches. It equates to a total of 133 matches. So, the 2023 season of the T20 Blast will contain 133 matches.
